About Us

OX Architecture & Interiors is a small team led by ARB registered architect David Rees. David has 18 years of experience in industry (10 post-qualification), and has worked on projects of all scales including high-end residential schemes, commercial properties, an international football academy, and small private developments such as yoga studios and remodelling family homes. Having spent several years in large London practices he set up his on his own, initially in London and now in Banbury, Oxfordshire where the team is growing. With the technical knowledge required to deliver both design and detailing, David takes an unpretentious approach to architecture, and aims to work collaboratively with clients to accommodate their needs and help realise their ideas.

  • If you are considering buying a site and want a quick check of the potential development options, we offer this plus advice on project risk factors.

  • We can develop a contemporary design, planned efficiently with construction methodology in mind. We can also advise on sustainability factors and the options available based on this.

  • Planning can be a minefield. We will happily assess each project and offer ways to optimise your plans to give your submission the highest chance of success.

  • Depending on your level of experience within construction, we can deal with all consultants/authorities on your behalf, unless you don’t need us to. You’ll be informed of everything requiring a decision and we will provide advice on factors informing the choices along the way.

  • You’ll most likely need this! We prepare full working drawings for the submissions with the detail level appropriate to the project, or offer alternative ways to meet the statutory requirements.

  • Clear communication with contractors enables projects to run smoothly. We can prepare all the documentation to clarify proposals for pricing. If requested, we can manage the procurement for the project, the contractual process and on-site management if required. Additionally, we can provide services diagrams for setting out ventilation routes, drainage runs, and small power and lighting layouts to assist the client-contractor onsite coordination.
